Los Angeles’ iconic OIvera Street this week welcomed the Christmas play with its yearly tradition, Las Posadas.
The spiritual procession has been portion of Olvera Street’s yearly traditions since its founding successful 1930.
Each year, costumed performers reenact the travel of Mary and Joseph to Bethlehem.
The pastores, oregon shepherds, are led by an angel to inquire for structure at shops on the row. After being turned away, they yet person shelter, mounting disconnected celebrative euphony on the street.
The procession starts and ends astatine the Avila Adobe, the oldest location successful the city.
