Lakewood girls volleyball wins elite division at Dave Mohs Tournament

HUNTINGTON BEACH — Lakewood girls volleyball manager Mike Wadley already was assured helium has a squad that tin win astatine the highest level this season.

The Lancers raised Wadley’s assurance Saturday, winning the title of the Dave Mohs Memorial Tournament’s Division 1 Gold Bracket. They defeated Cathedral Catholic 25-22 and 25-18 astatine Edison High.

Lakewood (13-3) defeated San Clemente successful the Division 1 Gold Bracket semifinals 25-14 and 25-20 aft defeating Menlo successful the quarterfinals. The Lancers were 3-0 successful excavation play Friday.
